How to use ZoraLister Online

From your products to Etsy and eBay, after you say yes.

Every step in the order you will do it, with the buttons named the way the app names them. Sign in at app.zoralister.com on a computer, a Mac, an iPad or your phone - it is the same ZoraLister on each.

Using the app you installed on Windows instead? That is ZoraLister for Windows, and its own guide.

What it does today, and what it does not do yet

Working today: your products, their variants and photos (taken with your phone's camera if you like, then rotated or cropped, and checked against each marketplace's photo standards); bringing your existing eBay and Etsy listings in, or your own inventory spreadsheet; and the Listings page, where you check each listing, look at exactly what the marketplace will get, and approve it. Then Etsy and eBay get ordinary live listings, and TikTok Shop and Amazon (or eBay, if you prefer) get an upload file you download.

Not yet: Shopify; a live connection to Amazon (it goes by upload file until Amazon approves one); handling orders (Home shows your eBay and Etsy sales; shipping and refunds stay on the marketplace), stock syncing and repricing; and changing an eBay Motors listing you brought in from eBay - do that in eBay's Seller Hub, like any other listing. One ZoraLister made in eBay Motors changes from here: it is sent again as ZoraLister makes it, with a quantity you did not change kept as eBay counts it.

Changing an eBay listing ZoraLister sent. Change the product (its price, photos, title, choices...), then check it on Listings with eBay chosen: its card says Checked - a change to its live eBay listing and lists What changes on eBay. Approve sends just those parts to that listing; whatever you changed in Seller Hub and did not change here stays as it is. Approvals marks it Update waiting for your approval. A listing sent before October 29, 2026 has no copy of what went, so its first change sends every part, and its card says so. A listing you brought in from eBay changes the same way, but only with what you changed here since you brought it in - its title, description, condition, photos or choices; its item specifics, policies, category and where it ships from stay as they are on eBay. Its description goes as you wrote it here, so formatting it has on eBay is not kept. One brought in before October 29, 2026 is taken as it is the first time you check it: from then on, what you change goes.

Nothing goes out on its own. ZoraLister sends a listing only when you approve it: Approve on Approvals or on the Listings page, after one confirm that shows the marketplace's fee. It never changes a listing on eBay or Etsy without your approval, never ends or deletes one, and never changes an order - it reads your sales for Home, never who bought.

Free to start. Signing up puts you on the Free plan. It has every feature and adds up to 20 new products a month, listed on every marketplace you sell on - no card, no time limit. The full plan has no monthly limit; see Your plan.

Sign in, and put it on your phone

  1. New to ZoraLister? Go to app.zoralister.com/signup (Start ZoraLister free), type Your shop's name and Your email address, tick I agree to the Terms and have read the Privacy page and click Send me the link. No card. Invited by us? Your invitation email has the same kind of link; your plan is the one we set up with you, and Your plan on Account says which.
  2. Click the link in the email. On Welcome to ZoraLister, Your email address and The code from your email are already filled in; type Your new password, again in Type it again, and click Set my password. The password: at least 12 characters, with a capital letter, a small letter, a number and a symbol or space in it, nothing of your name or email address, and not one of your last ten. A few words you will remember, with those in them, works well. (Or go to app.zoralister.com/join and enter your email and the invite code from the email. The code works once, for a week.)
  3. Sign in at app.zoralister.com, click Security at the top, and under Passkeys click Add a passkey on this device. From then on, Sign in with Face ID, fingerprint or Windows Hello is the whole sign-in: no password, no six-digit code. Add one on each phone or computer you use, and write down the recovery codes it shows once. A six-digit code from an app such as Google Authenticator still works too, if you prefer it or want a second way in.
  4. Rather not type your password? Once two-step sign-in is on (a passkey or the six-digit code), go to Account, under Google, type your password and click Connect Google, then choose your Google account on Google's own page. From then on, Sign in with Google on the sign-in screen does instead of your email and password - your passkey or six-digit code is still asked for after it. Only a Google account you connected this way signs you in: having your email address is not enough.
  5. The pages are in the menu down the left side (on a phone, the row along the top you swipe along): Home, Catalog, Listings, Templates & Profiles, Approvals, Exports and Account. On a phone, ☰ Menu holds Light, Medium and Dark, Help, Report a problem and Sign out.
  6. New to it? Home starts with Getting started: every step to your first listing, in order and for the marketplaces you chose: Say where you sell, Connect your eBay account or Connect your Etsy shop (or Add your TikTok Shop template), Bring your listings in or Add your first product, Check one listing, and Look at it, then approve it. The step to do now says why it matters and has the button that takes you there; each step ticks itself off once it is done. We also email you two short how-tos, each once: how to get started when you have chosen your password, and your first listing step by step a day later, unless you already have something listed or brought in. Hide this guide puts it away; Getting started, beside Arrange, brings it back. It goes once every step is done.
  7. You start on Home: how many products you have, how many are on each marketplace you use, what waits for your approval and what needs fixing. On one marketplace, not another lists what is on one and missing from another, your best sellers of the last year first (with how many sold) - pick the pair, and List these on takes them to Listings for that marketplace, ticked, so you choose the category and check them there. What needs fixing also counts, when you list on eBay, titles longer than eBay's 80 characters and products with no Condition, and products with no weight for postage - each with the page that fixes it. For a marketplace you list on with upload files, Home can only say a product went into a file, not whether you uploaded it. Sales shows what you sold on eBay and Etsy - with two eBay accounts, a line for each under the eBay total, and a menu right there to see All eBay accounts or just one (it is the same choice as the menu at the top of Home) - orders, items and sales for the last 30 days on each, the average order, how long since the last sale, the last 14 days, the last 12 weeks, your best sellers, and, once your sales there have been read in full, the products listed from ZoraLister (90 days ago or more) or brought in from there that have not sold in 90 days - worth a fresh title, first photo or price (ZoraLister cannot see a listing you ended there) - once you connect them on Account (connected before October 4, 2026? press Connect eBay again or Connect Etsy again once, so the marketplace lets ZoraLister read your sales; never who bought). Arrange hides the panels you do not use and puts the rest in your order, on that device - and lets you choose the cards in At a glance: + Add a card offers every figure ZoraLister keeps (products with no photo or no price, listings out of date, orders and items sold in the last 30 days, items sold today, days since the last sale, each marketplace and more), the arrows move a card and the cross takes it away; Back to the usual cards undoes it.

On your home screen, like an app. Nothing to download from an app store. On an iPhone or iPad, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android or in Chrome or Edge on a computer, tap Install ZoraLister (on the Account page, or the banner that offers it). It then opens full screen from its own icon; you sign in once more inside it.

Tell it where you sell

On Account, under Where do you sell?, select your marketplaces and click Save. ZoraLister then reminds you of what is still to set up for those - a connection, a template - and nothing for the rest. The Listings page offers the marketplaces you selected.

Invited to try ZoraLister for Windows? Your Account page then has a ZoraLister for Windows card with a Download button. It is a separate product, so the card is there only for testers we have invited. The Windows guide walks through installing it.

Bring your eBay or Etsy listings in

Already selling? Your listings can become your products, photos and all, instead of being typed again.

  1. On Account, under Marketplaces, click Connect eBay or Connect Etsy. A green dot beside a marketplace means it is connected, a red one that it is not - on Account and on the Listings page, where a click on the red dot brings you here. An amber dot on Account means it is connected but cannot yet read your sales for Home: click Connect eBay again (or Connect Etsy again) once, and allow it. The marketplace asks you to sign in and to allow ZoraLister; then it sends you back.
  2. Click See my eBay listings (or See my Etsy listings). You see each one's title, SKU, price, what is available, its condition or category, and how many photos and choices it has. A big shop's listings appear a page at a time as eBay sends them: you can select while the rest arrive, and Add to Your products is ready once the last page is in.
  3. Select the ones you want and click Add to Your products (above or below the list). ZoraLister asks first, with how many: each becomes a product with its photos, its choices as variants, its condition and its category, and that cannot be undone (a product can be archived, not deleted). Nothing changes on eBay or Etsy. It then runs on ZoraLister's server, so you can close the page and come back: a bar at the top of every page says how far it has got (Stop stops it; the ones already in stay), and when it is done, what was added and what was skipped - OK puts that away. Stopped part way (or by an update to ZoraLister), click Add to Your products again: what came in already is skipped.

Home, one eBay account at a time. With two or more eBay accounts, Home has a picker beside Arrange: All eBay accounts, or one of them by its name. With one picked, what is live on eBay, your eBay sales and what went out recently are that account's alone. On one, not on another also compares your eBay accounts with each other - what is on one and not the other.

More than one eBay account. Once one is connected, Connect another eBay account adds the next. eBay signs in as whoever is signed in to ebay.com in that browser, so sign out of ebay.com first, or open ZoraLister in a private window and press it there. Connecting the same eBay account again only renews it. With two or more, each has its own row under eBay: its eBay user name, a Nickname box (up to 40 characters - type one and it is saved; ZoraLister then calls the account by it), its dot, and See my eBay listings, Check, Connect again and Disconnect for that account alone. ZoraLister asks once Do these eBay accounts sell the same products, or different ones? - click The same products or Different products; you can change it there any time. Either way each listing goes to ONE account, the one you choose on Listings: eBay does not allow the same item listed from two of your accounts. With Different products, a product already on one of them is offered for that one. Your shipping, payment and return policies, your sales on Home and your listings brought in are kept for each account on its own.

Photos from eBay come in at eBay's largest size, and a choice with its own photo on eBay (the pink one, say) gets that photo. Brought them in before October 15, 2026? Then they came at eBay's smaller size, without the choices' photos: open the product and click Get the full-size photos from eBay under its photos, or select several on the Catalog and click it there. It swaps the photos that are still eBay's for its largest (the small ones go to your trash) and adds each choice's photo where the choice has none. Photos you added or edited stay as they are, and nothing changes on eBay - a listing you already sent to Etsy gets your changed photos when you change them here and approve the change.

Ones that look like products you already have. A listing is compared with your products that are not on that marketplace yet - ones you added here or from a spreadsheet, and ones you brought in from the other marketplace. If one carries the same SKU, or its title is alike word for word (its sizes, years and numbers the same, and no other brand), it is not brought in: when the rest are done, the bar shows it beside the product it looks like, with why (the title is alike (9 of 10 words), the same price), and you choose - Same product links the listing to your product (nothing on your product changes; ZoraLister then knows it is on that marketplace, keeps the marketplace's SKU beside yours, and leaves out, and says, a choice your product does not have), Add as another product brings it in as its own (a SKU one of your products already has gets the listing number added), or Skip. Skip the rest lets go of the ones you have not chosen - they are not brought in, and Add asks again next time. Until you have chosen, a new Add to Your products waits; what you chose to link is listed under Linked to your products, with what it did. The ones waiting are kept until ZoraLister restarts for an update - then Add again asks again - and are let go if you disconnect that marketplace. Two listings from the same marketplace are not compared with each other. Nothing is decided for you.

A listing you brought in before is left as it is, so doing it again is safe. What did not come in is listed under Skipped, with the reason; what came in with a change is listed under Added, but.

One label on many listings

If you give different listings the same Custom Label or SKU (say ES-AP), each still comes in: the second and later ones get the item number added, such as ES-AP-1234567890, and Added, but says so. Nothing changes on eBay or Etsy. A listing with the very same title as another from the same marketplace (a relisted item) is skipped instead, because it is most likely the same thing; one whose SKU belongs to a product you made yourself waits for your choice, as above.

Do the empty fields matter? Not for a listing that is already live - ZoraLister never sends it again. Fill them in only when you list that product somewhere else.

Bring in your own spreadsheet

Keep your stock in Excel or Google Sheets? Products that are not listed anywhere yet can come in from that list, instead of being typed one by one.

  1. Save it as .xlsx or CSV (in Google Sheets: File, Download). ZoraLister reads the first sheet, and the first row should be the column names - Title, SKU, Quantity, Price, whatever yours are called.
  2. On Catalog, click Bring in a spreadsheet, then Choose the file.
  3. Each of your columns is listed with its first value and a guess of what it is. Change any guess that is wrong; Leave out skips a column.
  4. Click Check. It says what would happen - how many new products, how many updated, which rows are left out and why - and changes nothing.
  5. Click Add them. They are in your products.

Rows with the same title become one product, with a variant for each row - so a T-shirt in Red and Blue is one product when your Color column is chosen. A SKU you already have is updated rather than added twice, so bringing next month's list in updates your stock and prices; a blank cell leaves what is there. Without a SKU column, the same file brought in again adds the products a second time, and ZoraLister asks before it does.

A marketplace's template (from TikTok Shop, Amazon or eBay) is not a list of your products: it goes on Templates & Profiles, and the importer says so if one is dropped here. Up to 5,000 rows at a time; photos are added on each product afterwards.

Products from ZoraMaker

If you make your products in ZoraMaker, Zora Software's app for makers, it can send your finished products here, so you never type them twice. It is optional: ZoraLister works the same without it.

  1. On Account, under ZoraMaker, click Make a key for ZoraMaker.
  2. The key is shown only once: click Copy and paste it into ZoraMaker straight away. If you lose it, remove it and make a new one.
  3. Be signed in to ZoraMaker with the same email as ZoraLister. A key made in a different ZoraLister account is refused - so a product never lands in the wrong account without a word.
  4. In ZoraMaker, press Send to ZoraLister on a product. It arrives on your products with a ZoraMaker tag; choose From ZoraMaker at the top of the Catalog to see only those.

Its choices (color, size) arrive as variants, with their SKUs, prices and photos. Sending lists nothing: the product is ready for you to choose categories, check and approve on the Listings page, like any other. Sending it again updates it here. When ZoraMaker offers Review and list it in ZoraLister, that link opens Listings searched to that product's SKU - choose where to list it, then check, look and approve here, as always (sign in first if you are not). Stock always follows ZoraMaker, but a title, description or price you have changed here stays yours. A product you already had here with the same SKU (one you brought in from eBay or Etsy) is linked, not added a second time.

A key can only add and update your products from ZoraMaker, and show ZoraMaker, by SKU, which marketplaces your products are on - live, on its way, held for something to fix, or blocked by one of your Blockers (with your reason) - so ZoraMaker's products page can show it and find what is not listed somewhere yet. It never shows titles, photos, prices, stock or sales. It cannot list, delete or reach anything else. Each key shows when it was made and last used; Remove stops it at once, and the products it sent stay yours.

Add a product

  1. On Catalog, click Add a product.
  2. Fill in Title, then what you know: Brand, Maker (who made it, when it is not the brand), Type (your own word for it), Condition, Year ("2017", or "c. 1998"), Price, Weight (lb and oz), Tags and Description. Cost (yours, never sent) is for you only. Leave Tags empty and ZoraLister fills in up to 13 when you list the product on Etsy - from the title, the category, the choices and the tags on your other listings - and the draft says "Filled in for you". Type your own and those are used instead.
  3. Click Save. After that it saves itself as you type - Saved shows beside the button. A new product you are interrupted in the middle of is kept on that phone or computer: next time you press Add a product, Pick up brings it back.

Where each product is. Under each product's name on the Catalog is a small icon for every marketplace you list on: ✓ eBay (green) means it is live there - click it to open the listing; a dashed one with ◷ is waiting for your approval (click: Approvals); a red one with ! needs something fixed first; one with file went into an upload file you made (ZoraLister cannot see whether you uploaded it); a dashed Etsy one with no mark was made on Etsy by ZoraLister before October 11, 2026 and is not known to be live; and a faint one with + is not there yet. On eBay or Etsy, clicking + gets it ready for you: ZoraLister puts it in its category there (the one it already has, or the best fit for its title - the message says which, and you can change it on Listings), fills in what the marketplace asks where it already knows the answer (for eBay: where it ships from, its condition, item specifics your own listings agree on - said in the message, for every product in that category), and checks it. It then waits for your approval on Approvals - nothing is listed until you approve it - or the message says what it still needs, with a button to it. For a marketplace you list on by upload file, + opens Listings on that marketplace with the product selected.

Cards or a list. The Catalog and the Listings page show your products as Cards - a big photo of each with its name; on the Catalog the SKU is on top and the marketplaces under the name - or as a List, one row each. Switch with the two buttons beside Search; ZoraLister remembers your choice for each page in this browser. On the Catalog, selecting, the icons and opening a product work the same in both; on Listings, selecting, Look, Approve and Reject do.

The ? beside each field says what it is for. Weigh the product packed, the way it goes in the mail: marketplaces use it for postage. Archive hides a product without deleting it. To archive several at once, select them with the box beside each in the list (the box at the top selects all shown - in Cards it says Select all shown; in the List on a phone, select one, then Select all shown) and click Archive selected; with Archived chosen, Put back selected brings them back. Search your products by title, brand, SKU or barcode at the top of the Catalog, and choose From eBay, From Etsy, From ZoraMaker or Added here to see only what came from there (Added here is everything not linked to an eBay or Etsy listing you brought in or sent from ZoraMaker) - each says how many it holds, and a product you brought in carries a small eBay, Etsy or ZoraMaker tag in the list. Beside it, Anything missing? finds the products with a gap to fill before you list them: No photo, No weight, No description, No price, Out of stock (none in stock across its choices) or No barcode. Each says how many, for what else you have chosen; one with none cannot be chosen. A choice with no price or weight of its own counts the product's, and a product with several choices is listed under No price, No weight or No barcode when any one of its choices has none. The All categories list beside it groups your products by the marketplace category each one is already in - the one it was brought in with from eBay or Etsy, or one it was given here - by its first two levels (so "Baby > Nursery Decor > Wall Decals" is under "Baby > Nursery Decor"), each with the marketplace and how many it holds, the biggest first. No category yet shows the ones with none: select them and click List the selected, and for eBay or Etsy each gets the best fit for its title. The list shows 50 at a time, newest changed first; Next and Previous under it move between pages. Print labels prints what the list is showing.

A product in a tab of its own. Each product has its own address: Open in a new tab, at the top of a product, opens it beside the one you are on, and Ctrl-click (Cmd-click on a Mac) or the middle mouse button on a title in the list does the same. Reloading the page, or sending yourself the address, comes back to that product. If you change the same product in two tabs, the second save tells you it was changed in the other window rather than writing over it.

How long each marketplace's title is. Once a product has been checked on the Listings page, its page shows the title each marketplace will get - a listing profile may add words to it - and its length against that category's limit, for example "92 of 80 characters - shorten by 12". ZoraLister never cuts a title short: shorten it yourself. A line marked out of date has changed since; check it again on Listings to see it as it is now.

The same change in many products at once. Find and replace, at the top of the Catalog, changes a word or phrase in the titles or descriptions of your active products - a misspelled brand, or "NIP" to "New in package". Type what to look for and what to put in its place, choose In titles, In descriptions or both, and if you like Match case and Whole words only (so "nip" does not change "Snipe"). Preview lists every product it would change and what each title becomes - nothing changes until you click Replace, and then only the products the preview showed. Their listing drafts show as out of date until they are rebuilt. A title that would come out longer than 500 characters is left alone, and said.

Not sure of the price? What is it worth? suggests a range, with the reasons and the similar listings it was worked out from, so you can open them and see for yourself. It never changes your price: you decide.

Choices: options and variants

A variant is one thing a buyer can choose, with its own SKU, price and quantity. An option is the question the buyer answers - Size, Color, Character - and each variant holds its answer: Small, Black, Pikachu #1.

  1. Open the product and find Variants. Type the option's name in the box (e.g. Color or Size) and click Add option. Up to three options; marketplaces take no more.
  2. Fill in each variant's answer, SKU, price and quantity, and click its Save. Add a variant adds a row. On a product that still has only its first, option-less variant, the first one you add with an option asks whether to turn that first variant into it instead (with what you typed on the new row, and its own SKU, price and quantity where you left them empty) - usually what you want, since a marketplace refuses variants that fill different options.
  3. Or let ZoraLister make them: Make variants from options, select the values you sell, set a price and quantity, and click Make variants. Every combination becomes a variant with a suggested SKU; ones you already have are left alone.
A choice is not an option's name

Type Character as the option, not "2017 Pikachu #1 Toy". If you type a choice where the name goes, ZoraLister says so and asks for the name instead; once you give it, what you typed is put on a variant for you. A click on the name of an option lets you rename it, or move its values into another option. A product brought in from eBay keeps the name eBay's listing gave the option - sometimes the whole title; when a name reads like a description, ZoraLister says so under the options.

A variant's Barcode is the number printed under the product's own barcode: 12 digits on a UPC, 13 on an EAN. Leave it empty if the item has none. When you save, ZoraLister says if the number looks mistyped - too few digits, or a last digit that does not add up - and saves what you typed either way.

If a marketplace already knows a variant by a different SKU - the same sticker as ...-LIGHTBLUE on Amazon and ...-LIGHT-BLUE on eBay - open Listed on a marketplace as... under the variants and type what that marketplace calls it - the variant keeps its one SKU; this is only the map to that listing. Its listings are then built with its own SKU, and a listing you bring in under that SKU is recognised as one you already have. Leave a box empty and that marketplace gets the variant's SKU. With two or more eBay accounts there is a box for each of them too, named eBay with the account's nickname in brackets: what you type there goes only to that eBay account's listing; left empty, that account gets the eBay one (or the SKU). Disconnecting an eBay account removes the SKUs you gave for it.

A title of its own for each eBay account works the same way. With two or more eBay accounts, the product page shows The title on each of your eBay accounts: a box per account, named eBay with its nickname in brackets, with the shared title already in the box, or its own if you gave it one, ready to change, and a count of its 80 characters. Change it and leave the box (or press Enter) and that account's listing is called that; empty the box and it goes back to the same title as the rest. Everything else - photos, description, price, choices - is the same on each account. On Listings, with that account picked, Look shows the title it gets. A listing already live there changes when you check it, look, and approve it. A different title does not make the same item allowed on two of your eBay accounts: eBay still counts it as one item, so it is listed on one of them. Disconnecting an eBay account removes the titles you gave for it.

Print labels prints a barcode of each SKU, for your own shelf.

Scan stock counts with a barcode: scan each item with a barcode scanner, with your phone's camera (Use the camera, where your browser can read barcodes - Chrome on Android, for one; where it cannot, the button is not shown: use a scanner or type), or type the barcode or SKU and press Enter. It finds the product by its barcode, its SKU, or the SKU eBay or Etsy has for it. Add to stock counts up, Take out (sold elsewhere) counts down - never below none - and nothing changes until Save. A code nothing has offers Add a product with this barcode. The counts change in ZoraLister only, not on eBay or Etsy.

Photos, from your phone or computer

  • On a computer: drop photos on the product's Photos box, or choose files. Use this computer's camera takes them with a webcam.
  • With your phone, while the product is open on a computer: click Take photos with your phone and scan the square with your phone's camera. The photos you take appear on the computer as they arrive. The link works only for that product, and stops after 20 minutes, when you press Stop, or when you close the product - so do not share it.
  • On your phone: Take a photo opens your phone's own camera, with its zoom, focus and flash; Choose from your photos picks ones you already took.

Main photo under a photo makes it the one every listing opens with - the first, until you choose another. A photo that shows one choice - the black mug, the large size - goes on that choice's own row of Variants: click + Photo in its Photo column to upload or take one, or to use one of the product's photos (or drop a photo on the row); a new variant's row takes its photo before you press Add. The same is set under each photo with For (Every choice is the default): eBay and Etsy then show it when a buyer picks that choice, and an upload file puts it on that choice's row. Your originals are kept exactly as uploaded. Location and camera details are taken out of the copy a marketplace gets.

Rotate left and Rotate right turn a photo a quarter either way; Crop lets you drag a box over it with a mouse or a finger - free, square or 4:3. Marketplaces get the edited photo, and so does your product list; Back to the original puts it as you uploaded it, which is never changed. Under each photo, ZoraLister says where it falls short of what your marketplaces ask - too small for eBay (500 px), smaller than Etsy recommends (2000 px), not square for TikTok Shop - so you can fix it before you list.

A video, and personalization

Video. Under Video on a product, click Add a video: one MP4 or MOV, up to 95 MB - a minute or less is what buyers watch, and most phones record one. It plays right there; Replace the video swaps it and Remove video takes it off (a listing it already went to keeps it). It goes with Send:

  • eBay: on a listing without choices, eBay Motors included - eBay shows no video on one with variations, and the send says so. Buyers see it in eBay's app once eBay has processed it, a few minutes after.
  • Etsy: on the listing, once - sending again does not add a second.
  • Amazon, Shopify and TikTok Shop take a video in their own Seller Center, not from ZoraLister.

The video is sent as the file you add, unlike photos, which are cleaned first: if your phone records where a video was taken, that goes with it.

Personalization - a name, initials, a date the buyer writes in. Under Personalization, tick Buyers can personalize it, say what they should write, the letters at most, whether The buyer must fill it in, and any Extra charge ($), then Save personalization.

  • Etsy shows the box on the listing and adds your extra charge when the buyer writes in it (so an extra charge goes with a box the buyer may leave empty).
  • eBay asks for it where the category offers personalization, with no extra charge - the send says so when the category does not. To charge for it on eBay, make it a choice: an option Personalization with None and Add name, each with its price.
  • A font is a choice too, on every marketplace: an option Font (Script, Block...) under Variants, priced per choice.

List it: the Listings page

One page for every marketplace. The steps are the same whether the listing ends up on Etsy, on eBay, or in an upload file. ZoraLister fills in what it already knows, so most products need a category and an Approve, and nothing more.

The quick way, from the Catalog: select the products, click List the selected, and under List on: pick the marketplace. Only marketplaces they are not on yet are offered - a product you brought in from Etsy is not offered Etsy again; (1 of 2) means one of them is there already. For eBay and Etsy, once you can send there, the marketplace's button gets them all ready for you, as the + under a product does - each one's category (its own, or the best fit for its title), what the marketplace asks, checked - up to 25 at a time; they then wait for your approval on Approvals, and the message says which still need something, with a button to them on Listings. Nothing is listed until you approve. on Listings beside it, and the button for a marketplace you list on by upload file, take you to Listings with just those products selected instead.

  1. Open Listings and choose the marketplace at the top. With two or more eBay accounts, choose one in eBay account beside eBay: Check, Approve, Send and Shipping are that account's, and Approvals sends to it too (its confirm names it). Under Your products, select the ones to list (Select all shown after a search takes them all).
  2. 1. Category. Type a few words (for eBay, for example happy meal toy; for Etsy, wall decal) and click Search. Pick the marketplace's own category and click Use for the selected. ZoraLister asks the marketplace what that category needs - there is no template to download for sending to Etsy or eBay. Quicker still: a product without a category shows Suggested: with a category or two found from its own title - one click puts it there. eBay's search covers eBay Motors too (car decals are eBay Motors > Parts & Accessories > Car & Truck Parts & Accessories > Exterior Parts & Accessories > Decals & Vinyls), and a listing in an eBay Motors category goes up on eBay Motors. The search finds a category by its own name as well (cups mugs finds eBay Motors > Parts & Accessories > Apparel, Protective Gear & Merchandise > Automotive Merchandise > Cups & Mugs). Or click Browse eBay's categories and open them one level at a time - eBay Motors is one of them - then click Use for the selected beside the one you want. eBay lists only in the last level of a category, so pick one that goes all the way down. A product with choices - sixteen colours, say - goes up as one listing with those choices.
  3. 2. What the marketplace asks. A few answers, once per category: for example the item's condition and where it ships from on eBay, or who made it and when on Etsy. ZoraLister fills in what it knows and says where from (Filled in for you:) - where it ships from from your answer for another eBay category or the town on your eBay account, the condition from the Condition on your products. On eBay each product's own Condition goes with it, so one category can hold New and Used; the answer here is for a product with none, or one whose word eBay does not offer in that category. Once everything is answered it is one line; Change opens it, and a changed answer saves itself.
  4. 3. Shipping. If you have not chosen any, ZoraLister takes the ones your eBay account already uses - your only policy of a kind, or the one most of your live eBay listings go out with - and the line says Products without their own ship with them. Each of the three is worked out on its own, and one you chose yourself is never replaced. When your listings are split evenly between two, Check says how many you have and asks you to choose that one once. Change shows your own shop's shipping (and, on eBay, payment and return) policies - your eBay defaults first, marked (your eBay default). Pick and click Use for the selected products - the message names what they now ship with, and each one's card says Ships with its own; the line at the top stays your default for the rest. Select Also use these for products without their own to make them your default.
  5. A SKU too long for the marketplace (Etsy takes 32 characters): Make the SKUs fit shows each SKU and its shorter one - it keeps the end that tells the choices apart, the colour, and shortens the start - and Use these for Etsy keeps them for that marketplace. Your own SKUs stay as they are.
  6. A title too long for the marketplace (eBay takes 80 characters, Etsy 140) shows under the product as Title on eBay, already shortened: the crossed-out words are ZoraLister's suggestion (a repeated word first, then small words like "and" or "the" - never "for" - then from the end). Tap a crossed-out word to keep it, or another to drop it, until the count says fits (or type), then Use this title. With several too long, Use the suggested titles for all does them in one press. Your Catalog title stays as it is; the shorter one is for that marketplace only. Use the Catalog's goes back.
  7. Tick a product and its card shows its own Check button (Check again once it has been checked), so what it says comes back on the card you are looking at. Check and Send also stay at the bottom of the screen while you scroll.
  8. Check runs by itself after you choose a category, change an answer or shorten a title; click Check to run it again. For eBay, What eBay asks is filled in from your own live eBay listings in the same category where more than half of them agree (at least two) - only for what describes the kind of thing, such as Brand or Placement on Vehicle, never a colour, a size or what names the item itself - it says Filled in for you and where from, and you change it there. Each product says what it still needs - named, in plain words - or that it is waiting for you. A need that is fixed on the product itself - its photos, weight, price, a choice's SKU or stock - carries a link such as Fix it: photos: it opens the product on Your products with every field it still needs lit, and Back to Listings and check again brings you back and checks it. Once Check has run, a row of buttons above the list - Show the ones that need: - names each kind of thing it found, with how many products need it, such as Photos (3) or Weight (2); click one to see only those products - the ones it hides are unselected, so nothing you cannot see is checked, approved or sent (Select all shown then selects just those), fix them, and check again: each one that no longer needs it leaves the view. All shows everything again, and choosing another marketplace starts afresh. Check also points out slips that stop nothing: products you checked together that share one title, or a price no more than what the product cost you (your cost is shown to you alone, never sent). No duplicates on eBay: Check reads what is live on your eBay right now and stops a product whose SKU is already there - even one you listed yourself in Seller Hub - and warns about one with the same title. Two checked together with the same title: the first goes, the other waits until you change its title on eBay - eBay penalises duplicates. Bring that listing in with See my eBay listings instead. Postage on eBay: the product's weight (the heaviest choice's) and its size go to eBay as the package, in pounds and ounces and inches, so a calculated-shipping policy prices postage right. Descriptions on eBay: a plain-text description (as Etsy keeps them) goes to eBay as paragraphs, and Check stops one with a web address or an email in it - eBay does not allow sending buyers off eBay - and warns about one that mentions Etsy.
  9. What checked clean waits under Waiting for your approval, a card each, laid out like ZoraDev's approval queue: the main photo and the second side by side, then a strip of every photo in the order they go (scroll it sideways), the facts, and the card's buttons right under them, the title with its length against the marketplace's limit, the price, how many in stock and how many photos against the most the category takes. Look shows exactly what the marketplace will get: title, photos, price, choices - each with its own photo - and item specifics. Press any photo to see it larger, and Close (or Esc) to go back. Then Approve or Reject it - Reject asks why (what you rejected waits, by why, under Rejected at the foot of Approvals, folded: Put it back sends one to wait for your approval again, Put them all back a whole group; what you rejected in your own words alone is under In your own words), and when you change the product and check it again it comes back first, marked Changed since you rejected it, with your reason. Delete is for a listing you do not want at all: the listing goes, the product stays on Your products (it works on a listing waiting for approval or one you rejected; building that profile's drafts again makes it again - delete it again, or archive a product you are not selling anywhere). Search the cards by SKU or title (commas for several), Select… the first 25, 50, 100 or all shown, then Approve selected or Reject selected. Photo order and main photo on a card moves your photos around; the listing is checked again with them. A product with choices lists each one on its card - a colour shows its colour beside its name - its own photo, SKU, price and how many in stock - View 16 colors (or choices) opens them as small tiles under the buttons - each colour's own photo, its colour and its name (SKYBLUE shows as Sky Blue), Black and White first and Silver last - with the one the listing opens with marked ★ Main photo; Set main under another makes its photo the main one.
  10. Approve sends it. Sending straight to eBay or Etsy, Approve puts the listing live then and there - on eBay after you confirm eBay's fee - the same as on Approvals. Look is on every listing: what goes, what went (What went to eBay), or, for one brought in from eBay or Etsy, your product with a link to the listing there. Only what you approved goes. Approved but not sent (you said no to eBay's fee, or approved it before this): select it and click Send. Making an upload file instead, approve the ones you want and click Download the upload file; until something is approved that button ends in - approve one first and waits.
Change it after approving?

Then it is no longer what you approved: edit the product and it goes back to waiting, so you check and look again before it can be sent.

What happens on Etsy

The products you approve and send go live in your Etsy shop - you review and approve them in ZoraLister, and there is nothing to do on Etsy. Etsy charges its usual listing fee for each one as it goes live. Once a listing is live, change the product here, check it on Listings with Etsy chosen, and approve: its card lists What changes on Etsy, and only that goes - never its tags, materials, category, attributes, shipping, processing or returns. A listing you brought in from Etsy changes the same way, except its photos, which choices it has and their options: change those on Etsy. ZoraLister never deletes a listing.

You can also remove ZoraLister's access on Etsy itself, in your account settings under Apps, or with More, then Disconnect, beside Etsy on the Account page.

What happens on eBay

Your approved products become ordinary live eBay listings, which you change in Seller Hub like any other. Before anything goes, Check asks eBay itself to look the listing over: whatever eBay would object to is shown, and so is eBay's own fee to list it. Send tells you the total and asks once more. eBay's selling fees apply when an item sells, as on any listing.

eBay Motors: a listing in an eBay Motors category goes through eBay's Inventory API. eBay has no trial run for those, so Check makes ZoraLister's own checks (and the duplicate check) and says eBay Motors has no trial run; eBay's own word comes when you send, in plain words if anything stops it, and no fee is quoted in advance. Where it ships from must be a town and state (Austin, TX) or a ZIP code - ZoraLister saves it as a location on your eBay account. Check stops a SKU that is already live on your eBay, as for any eBay listing, and a send never writes over a SKU that is live in another listing: it stops and names that listing. Its video goes as on any eBay listing. Personalization goes only where the eBay Motors category offers it (Cups & Mugs does not), and the send says when it does not.

  • Business policies: eBay needs a shipping, a payment and a return policy on every listing. If you have never used them, turn them on in Seller Hub (Account, Business policies), make one of each, and come back.
  • Connected before? If you connected eBay before listing was added, click Connect eBay again once so eBay lets ZoraLister create listings.
  • A product you brought in from eBay says it is on eBay already, and is never sent twice.
  • You can remove ZoraLister's access on eBay itself: Account, Security center, Third-party app access.

TikTok Shop, Amazon, or eBay by upload file

TikTok Shop and Amazon take a bulk upload file, and eBay can too if you prefer (on the Listings page choose Download the upload file instead - offered once eBay is connected; without a connection, adding eBay's template is enough). For those, the marketplace's own template tells ZoraLister what your category needs:

  1. Download the template: TikTok Shop's bulk upload template from Seller Center; Amazon's product spreadsheet from Seller Central (Catalog, Add Products via Upload - choose the product types you sell, such as stickers and decals; one file can hold several); or eBay's "Create or Schedule new listings" template from Seller Hub (Reports, Uploads, Download template).
  2. On Templates & Profiles, drop it on the box at the top, or choose the file. Use it exactly as downloaded.
  3. Add your category and build its listing profile: where each column gets its value. Photo columns filled in order (Photo 1, Photo 2 ...) show as one row; Change one by one opens them. The Windows guide's part on profiles describes the same screen.
  4. On Listings, check, look and approve as above, then click Download the upload file, and upload it in the marketplace's own bulk upload screen.

Amazon: each product type in the spreadsheet becomes a category of its own (Amazon's names, such as STICKER_DECAL). The starting profile fills the SKU, title, brand, description, price, quantity, photos and package size from your product, ships it yourself ("Fulfillment by Merchant"), and sets the barcode type to GTIN Exempt - every handmade seller has Amazon's exemption; if your products have barcodes, change it in the profile. What only you can say - a bullet point, the country of origin, the dangerous-goods answer - is asked once for the whole category, under What the marketplace asks. A product with colours or sizes goes in as one Amazon listing: a row for the listing and a row for each choice, each choice with its own photo first. Amazon groups choices by its own names, so call the option Colour or Size; ZoraLister says so before you approve if Amazon has no grouping for it. The file you download is an .xlsm, like the one you downloaded from Amazon: upload it on the same Add Products via Upload page.

Marketplaces fetch an upload file's photos from a web address, so when the file is written ZoraLister publishes each photo at a temporary address for the marketplace to collect - there is nothing for you to paste; Exports shows what is out, and Take every photo down now takes them all down. When ZoraLister sends a listing to eBay it asks eBay to keep its own copy of each photo. A photo still at one of these addresses, on a live eBay listing ZoraLister sent, keeps working until the listing has ended; taking it down can take it off that listing too. Approvals and Exports also show every draft and file, if you like to work that way; Approvals shows the drafts waiting for you as the same cards - a section for each marketplace you use - above the table of every draft. On Approvals, Approve is the last step for eBay and Etsy once you can send there: it checks the listing once more, asks you to confirm (with eBay's quoted fee to list it, or Etsy's listing fee for each), and puts it live - nothing else to press. Only the listing on the card goes: if the product has moved to another category since that card was built, the card is only marked approved, to send from Listings. eBay takes ten at a time; one that could not be sent comes back here to approve again. For a marketplace you list on by upload file, Approve puts it in that marketplace's next upload file, which you write on Exports. On Approvals, a draft already in an upload file says In an upload file: Rebuild it to approve it again. In a draft, click a problem at the top to jump to the field it is about; the button under it takes you to where it is fixed - Fix it on the product (that product, at that box, or its photos) or Change it in the profile - and Rebuild the draft and look again brings you back with your change in it.

Your account and your data

Your plan

On Account, the Your plan card says which plan you are on.

  • The Free plan ("You are on the Free plan: every feature, up to 20 new products a month"): a new product is one you add, bring in from eBay, Etsy or a spreadsheet, or receive from ZoraMaker. Editing, listing and selling the ones you have never counts. The month starts on the 1st (US Central time), and archiving a product does not give its place back. When the month's 20 are used, adding says so; the rest of ZoraLister keeps working.
  • Upgrade with PayPal takes you to PayPal to pay by card or your PayPal balance, then back to ZoraLister. The card then says Full plan, no monthly limit, the price, and the date it is paid through. PayPal takes the next payment each month.
  • Cancel my plan stops the payments. Nothing more is charged; the full plan stays until the paid-through date, then you are on the Free plan with everything you added. Want it back? After that date, Upgrade again with PayPal.
  • Payment method, in PayPal opens PayPal to change the card or account the payments come from.
  • Book your free 30-minute setup session, where you see it: one session with us, to get your first products listed.

Your account

ZoraLister Online keeps your products and photos on our server, in your own account; nobody else's account can see them. The privacy page says exactly what is kept and why.

  • Your account shows what you have used: products, photos, templates and upload files this month - "of" how many, where your plan has a limit, in amber once you are near it.
  • Passkeys (also reached by Security at the top): Add a passkey on this device, then sign in with Face ID, your fingerprint or Windows Hello. Each one can be renamed, or removed with your password - removing one signs that device out.
  • Two-step sign-in: Set it up with Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password, as well as or instead of a passkey. Write down the backup codes it shows once.
  • Change your password: every other device is signed out; the one you are on stays. The same rules as when you chose it, and at most once a day (if you think someone else knows it, sign out and use Forgot your password, which works at any time). A password lasts a year: after that, ZoraLister asks for a new one when you sign in, and everything you made is waiting.
  • Disconnect, under More beside eBay or Etsy, deletes ZoraLister's access key for it. The products you brought in stay yours. With two or more eBay accounts, each row has its own Disconnect, and your other eBay accounts stay connected.
  • Google: Connect Google with your password, so Sign in with Google works; Remove, with your password, stops it. Each sends you an email.
  • ZoraMaker: Make a key for ZoraMaker and Remove (see Products from ZoraMaker).
  • Download everything: click Make my download and ZoraLister puts one zip file together in the background - you can leave the page. Then Download. Inside: products.csv (one row per variant, opens in Excel or Google Sheets), every photo and file exactly as you gave it to us, and all your records. It is kept for seven days; Make a new one appears ten minutes after the last. It works even when your account is read-only.

When something goes wrong

What you seeWhat it means, and what to do
"Business policies are not turned on for your eBay account"eBay says your account does not use them yet. Turn them on in Seller Hub (Account, Business policies) and make a shipping, a payment and a return policy, then come back.
"Your eBay account uses business policies, but eBay would not show them to ZoraLister"eBay says your account uses business policies, yet refused to show them to ZoraLister; the message quotes eBay's reason. Click Connect eBay again on Account so eBay asks you to allow it. If it still says this, tell us with Report a problem.
"eBay did not hand over your business policies"eBay would not say why. If you have never used business policies, turn them on in Seller Hub (Account, Business policies); if you have, click Connect eBay again on Account.
"The Free plan adds up to 20 new products a month, and you have added 20 this month"This month's new products are used. More fit from the 1st - or Upgrade with PayPal under Your plan on Account, for no monthly limit. Products you already have are not affected.
"You have 3 shipping policies on eBay and your live listings do not settle on one"ZoraLister could not tell which one you use. Open Listings, pick it under 3. Shipping, select Also use these for products without their own and click Use for the selected products. It is remembered from then on.
"eBay's own system cannot read this listing's description" (or its title, item specifics, or the photos for each choice)An error inside eBay, not a rule you broke: eBay's reader stops on something in that part. ZoraLister found which part by asking eBay's check again with that part made plain. Simplify it (plain lines, no unusual symbols) and Check again; if it still says this, tell us with Report a problem.
"Tell ZoraLister where you sell first"Select your marketplaces under Where do you sell? on Account.
A listing was skipped: "the SKU ... is already on Your products"A listing whose SKU one of your products has usually waits for your choice instead (see Ones that look like products you already have). It is still skipped when the product with that SKU is already on that marketplace (the same item listed there twice), when that product is archived, when the SKU came onto a product while the listing was coming in, or when the SKU it would get with the listing number added is taken too. Open that product. Listed there twice: there is nothing to bring in - ZoraLister already knows it is on that marketplace. Archived, and the same item: choose Archived, select it, Put back selected, then bring the listing in again and choose Same product. With two eBay accounts, a listing on your second account of a product you brought in from your first is held the same way - beside that product, said as from your other eBay account - and Same product links it to the one product from each account. Different things: give one of them a new SKU and bring the listing in again.
"eBay counts 97 but sent 95"eBay counted listings it did not hand over. If one you expected is missing, tell us which with Report a problem.
"... looks like one of the choices, not the option's name"Type the option's name instead (such as Character) and click Add option; what you typed first goes on a variant. If it really is the name, click Use ... as the name anyway.
Approve is not offeredThe product still needs something (Check names it), or it changed since you checked it. Fix it, Check again, Look, then approve.
"Connect eBay again: eBay did not accept the connection"eBay's permission has run out or was removed. Click Connect eBay again on Account.
"You have more than one eBay account connected: choose which one this is for"Choose it in eBay account beside eBay on Listings, or use the buttons on that account's row on Account.
"It is on your other eBay account ... already"eBay does not allow the same item listed from two of your eBay accounts, so it stays on that one. Choose that account beside eBay to see it there. Ended it there? Once eBay confirms it has ended - at the earliest an hour after it was sent - opening See my eBay listings for that account on Account lifts the block. A shop of more than 2,000 listings is not checked this way.
"It may be on your other eBay account ... already: the last send of it there did not settle"eBay did not answer when it was sent to that account, so it may be listed there. Choose that account beside eBay and send it there again: that finds out, and never makes a second listing.
"It was approved for another of your eBay accounts"You approved it with the other account chosen. Choose this one beside eBay, Check it, Look, and approve it again.
